DESCRIPTION:
LPW - Chas. E. Jacot, Chaux-de-Fonds, 43mm, 18K gold drum style original HC with beautiful engraving detail and black enamel inlay, rear with scene of a bird flying above water, 1877 presentation engraved inside front, Jurgensen-style lips, signed gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, lever escapement, 15J, nickel damascene, s#26334 with matching serial number within case. Comes as pictured with a 30 inch 14K gold slide chain with black enameled slide with two inset seed pearls. Gross weight of assembled watch 43.1 dwt (67.0 g). Gross weight of 14K gold chain 10.1 dwt (15.7 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered micro-fine scratches; dial flawless in visible portion apart from some very small bits of glue evident at seating of seconds-register indicating its likely been re-secured; fine-plus hands, spot of oxide to fleur-de-lis of minute, small bit of oxide to fleur-de-lis of hour; case shows hardly any wear, shallow crease-type dent to rear between center and lower-right perimeter, cuvette with some dings at center, superb engraving detail, black enameling is substantially intact with only some small loss in areas, case rear opens short of 90 degrees (to approximately 85 degrees); tight bow, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal. Chain is excellent showing little wear, slide with some surface flaking of enamel, terminal element with some small areas of enamel loss.
